It is true to size, as in the measurements, but the pictures are definitely edited and are a little misleading. I am 6' 190 pounds, and I do not sit near as comfortably on this as the pics suggest. With my head on the pillow, my feet dangle just a bit off the other end. It is large though, and will host 2 people pretty comfortably, if you account for the overhang. Inflation/deflation is pretty straightforward, but I was a little disappointed the material was not a bit thicker, protecting more against possible debris. Ultimately, it works, so we will work it until it doesn't work anymore.

The raft is big, 6' X 6' and easy enough to inflate with a powered inflator which I already had. The raft is made of PVC I think. I would have preferred a canvas cover on it for more durability but the PVC is less abrasive. It's designed so you can purchase and attach additional pieces to make an even bigger island. That may be something worth looking at if you need more space. This mat is a good alternative to the foam style mats that have to be rolled up and carried. They take up a lot more space on your boat.

Nice size for two people

This is a well-made raft and I like it, but this is much smaller than they make it appear in the product photos. It is about 6 foot square, so you only get about 3 feet width each for 2 adults, who need to be well under 6 foot tall in order to have head or foot room. It is a spacious raft float for one, shorter, person.

This is a really cool item and a better way to lounge. It can fit 2-3 adults comfortably and you have the ability to connect multiple pads together for a larger group of people. It's great for adults, kids, and possibly even pets. The price is very reasonable and you can save a few dollars by getting your own vs. renting from a local marina. Give it a try!
